    Vista Install

A few days ago I got the following error....File: \Boot\BCD. I found how to
fix the problem from MS. It tells me to put the Windows Vista Disk in and
restart computer. Now when I put the Vista Disk in it starts loading files
and then I get a BSOD. I am able to boot a bootable CD and a floppy and even
a copy of Windows XP which will start loading. I even brought a new hard
thinking the one I had was bad. Does anyone have any ideas what I could be
doing wrong. I have disconnected all my devices from the computer except for
    the montior.

Sorry I can't really think of anything else
other than to make sure your Vista DVD isn't dirty or scratched

    Re: Vista Install

The information you supply is not very helpful. What were you doing when
you got the error? Do you have Vista installed and are trying to repair it
or are you doing a fresh install? When you were told to put the Windows
disk in and restart the computer it appears from your message you may have
had some successful results until 'now'. If so, what were they? If you
want help we need to know more specifics about the status of the machine,
what you are trying to do and what the message is on the BSOD.
