| | Another nvidia GeForce 7300 driver issue - Vista RC2 I have a video card with two video outputs, DVI and VGA. I only have one monitor and it uses a VGA input so the DVI output from the card is unused. All is well with Windows XP, but Vista seems to think that I have a DVI monitor and that it is the main monitor. When I boot to safe mode, I have normal video. When I boot to normal Windows Vista RC2, I usually get a black screen. On those fairly rare occasions when I do get video and I look at the monitors that the video driver thinks it has, it shows two monitors. Does anyone have a fix for this? I can't turn off the second monitor when I boot to safe mode because the second monitor doesn't exist in safe mode. When I boot to normal Windows, I believe that Vista is sending video to the non-existent monitor. Thanks, Larry |

| | Re: Another nvidia GeForce 7300 driver issue - Vista RC2 Larry- I ran into this with my 7600GS when I first installed, it seems vista defaulting to the DVI as the primary display. I was fortunate though, my card came with a DVI-SVGA adaptor and was able to run my CRT off the DVI port. once in, I was able to set everything straight. So I recommend finding an adaptor if you card did not come with one. -Ben "Larry Schuldt" <lschuldt@nibs.rude.biz> wrote in message news:r93bj2hd93b6tem78b4cci3kmq2kagjnhp@4ax.com... >I have a video card with two video outputs, DVI and VGA.
