    Windows Vista Service Pack Stages

Hi Everyone did anyone manage to find background information about processes
running during every stage of the vista servicepack installation? I mean Win
200,XP,2003 was able to do everything on one restart, why is necessary to
have 3 stages in Win Vista and Serv 2008

IMHO Vista and later OSs have used multiple restarts in order to provide
better protection against interruptions such as power failures during the
installation/upgrade so that they could recover easily from such problems.
I was pleased to see them provide this additional protection.
