Last Attempt - Vista64bit & Adobe Flash Player

HELP
Electronic Arts Uses IE7 to connect and manage downloads
I cannot download and install certain software until this is resolved.
Same with my Flash Editing Software.

System:
Vista64 Quadcore 6GBRAM
nVidia 9800GT
AV: BitDefender
Internet Security 2009

I am really trying to avoid Reinstalling Vista (there is no restore point) and I have already tried the Safe mode Last known working configuration.

Imageshack - adobeaxie001

Firefox (You have version 10,0,32,18 installed) is on the same computer I did not have to change ANY SECURITY settings and it works,
...so why does IE7 have the problem?

Firefox - Flash Working
Internet Explorer 7 - Flash NOT WORKING Active X will not install

I have read several articles on Vista Security settings and tried the trouble shooting tips to no avail (Adobe Flash website)
The flie install_flash_player gets halfway then: ERROR Failed to install
for troubleshooting tips please see Adobe.comgo/tn_19166 (Links to Adobe trouble shooting page)

Here is a list of all the files:
install_flash_player (IE7)
install_flash_player (Firefox)
Install Flash Player 10 ActiveX
uninstall_flash_player

I have disabled Bit Defender Internet Security 2009 (All of the fiewall features)
I have turned on (as per Adobe instructions) the IE7>Tools> Security> Active X settings

Also i tried this:
* On Windows Vista Home Basic or Home Premium:
  • Click Start , type cmd in the search box, right click on the program cmd.exe and select Run as Administrator
  • In the command prompt window, type net users Administrator /active:yes then press Enter , you should receive a confirmation saying; The command completed successfully
  • Click Start , type regedit in the search box, then press Enter
  • Navigate to the section: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
    • Double click FilterAdministratorToken and set it to 0
  • Next, logoff and you will see a new Administrator account is available. Login to this new Administrator account

Your now logged in to Windows Vista with full administrative rights. You will not receive any security prompts like before and you should have complete administrative rights to your machine. I recommend you only use this admin account for major program installs, and changes to your machine. The reason for this is so that if you make a mistake on the user account, it can be deleted, or an attempt to repair it is possible, where as you make a mistake to the admin account, it's possible it will be unrepairable, and or if you need to access an admin account to fix the user account, you won't be able to using strictly the admin (of the OS) account.

Is your version of IE 64-bit? Flash Player will not work in 64-bit browsers, which could be why it works in Firefox: it's 32-bit. You could try downloading and installing the 32-bit version of IE8 with this link. I don't think you can download IE7 for Vista. Apparently it's built-in with Vista. Hopefully the EA thing can use IE8?

Hope this helps!

In Vista x64 there are two Internet Explorers in the All Programs. You must have picked the wrong one.
