| | Possible to enlarge start menu? With a reasonable number of programs installed, after clicking on All Programs I now have to frequently use the scroll bar on the start menu to get to the item I want. This is both time wasting and annoying, as with a 1600x1200 monitor the start menu occupies less than half the vertical space on the screen, but there doesn't seem to be any way to extend the start menu vertically. | | RE: Possible to enlarge start menu? rHi Nick, There's no direct way to lengthen the start menu, that I know of. You can, however, right-click on the Start button, choose Properties, then choose Customize, and either add more items on the left side of the menu by increasiing the number of recent programs to display, or add more items to the right side of the menu by checking more of the boxes. Or, you could also pin more shortcuts to the left side of the menu. Doing any of these things will lengthen the menu, even when viewing All Programs. Hope this helps, Dean "Nick Payne" wrote: > With a reasonable number of programs installed, after clicking on All > Programs I now have to frequently use the scroll bar on the start menu to > get to the item I want.
