What is the best way to backup my system before doing an upgrade
install of Win 7 Premium on my system?

Hi,
Use an imaging program like Acronis True image and do a full system backup,
plus make a recovery CD so you can restore from a bootable cd in case you
cannot access the O/S.
Backup up ideally should be done to an external Hard Disk otherwise create a
seperate partition on your boot disk and store it there.

Regards,
Graham.
