HP ProtectTools Security Manager

I have a Compaq Presario V2000 Series (V2718WM) and when I attempt to upgrade
from XP to Vista RC1, I get the following message:

You must make the following changes before installing windows

Close Windows installation, go to Programs and uninstall the
following programs: HP ProtectTools Security Manager.

the setup utility then closes.

Problem is - this software isn't on my machine. HP tech support took my
model & serial #'s & says this unit isn't equipped with that option.

HHEEEEELLPP!!!!!!!!
