My machine runs window vista home premium. I want it to become a server. Is
it done by installing IIS? After install IIS, can I keep current data on
disk? Thanks.

To install IIS on VHP, do the following:

Go to the Programs and Features control panel, and selecting Add/Remove
Windows
features link on the left side of the control panel window. When selecting
the features you want to install, be sure and select the ones that enable
ASP.NET stuff.
