uninstall vista R1

Hello,
1) I have a test version of windows vista r1 installed on a seperate drive
d: (ntfs-formatted)
2) normally I run xp (sp2), which is installed on c: (ntfs-formatted)

I want to uninstall the test-version and continnue working with xp!
Can anybody tell me the right procedure to uninstall vista?
Later I want to format D:

When I boot up my system now, I run into the first menu, giving me the
choice of XP or Vista.
a) Where is this file (information) giving me these options?
b) What happens later, if I format d:

can anybody help me?

thanks

Re: uninstall vista R1

You should check in disk management on either system and see which is your
'system' drive.
If your XP drive is the system drive, you should download VistaBootPro and
install on XP. On the bootloader screen check Uninstall the Vista
bootloader and apply. This should get you back to going into XP without the
Vista screen.
You can then format D.

RE: uninstall vista R1

You cannot uninstall vista at all, the only thing you can do is a clean
install or formatt the HD. "THIS IS THE ONLY WAY"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: uninstall vista R1

When Vista is install in a classic "clean install" (not upgrade of XP)
to a separate partition or HD:

1. Download VistaBootPro http://www.vistabootpro.org/
2. Install VistaBootPro on your XP install
3. Run VistaBoot Pro
4. Click Bootloader box
5. Select Uninstall the Vista Bootloader (Used to restore Legacy OS) radio button
6. Reboot
Your boot menu will be gone and you should boot directly into XP
7. Format your D: drive
