Vista - Norton security & antivirus

Norton security & antivirus

I started a upgrade install from xp and someway in was told to remove Norton
AV and internet security I have to have internet connection during
installation so does anyone know how i can protect my machine as there is no
way of knowing if norton will work after i re install it
