| | Re: ImageX Commandline Tool ImageX is an utility included with the deployment development kit, windows automated installation kit and windows pe - its function is involved in the preparation and creation of.mages" for deployment over a network. Its name may be misleading in that it is not a "tool" for working with graphics or picture images. I know it's a tool to mount "file"-images in a path or as a drive (like iso-images or similar "images") But I don't find a download location for this tool(s) of the deployment development kit. Do you have an internet adress? S |

| | Re: ImageX Commandline Tool Stefan - There is still some confusion. ImageX is to mount "file" images. It is part of Windows PE (included with Vista), WAIK and BDD2007 (Business Desktop Deployment 2007) - "The Microsoft® Solution Accelerator for Business Desktop Deployment (BDD) provides the guidance and tools required to efficiently manage the deployment of Microsoft Windows Vista™ and the 2007 Microsoft Office system. BDD 2007 utilizes the robust deployment tools in Microsoft Windows Vista, combined with real-world experience and guidance, to create an end-to-end solution for migrating and deploying desktops. BDD 2007 Beta 2 is available on Microsoft Connect (http://connect..microsoft.com) as an open beta to partners and customers and enables acceleration and cost reduction associated with deployment projects. The production release version of BDD 2007 will be available to coincide with the release of Microsoft Windows Vista on the Microsoft Download Center (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads). Although you may connect to Microsoft Connect additional "qualifications" may be necessary to download.
