System Requirements?

OK, The Vista upgrade advisor says I'm good to go. The Vista Upgrade Options
Tool says "Your computer does not meet the necessary requirements to run MV.
You need at least 800 MHz processor & 512 MB system memory".

My system is a Dell Pentium 4CPU 3.00 GHZ with 512 MB Ram (with 49.43 GB
free).

I'm probably cross-polinating my memory with my ram terms here, but it seems
like I should have plenty to download the Home basic upgrade.

Re: System Requirements?

some CPUs have powersave functions that "throttle" the Speed down to
half,third etc when idle .

Some grpahics card do share memory from the system, so that you have less
than 512 Rams.

check that out.

Re: System Requirements?

I was able to run RC2 with 512MB of ram and with up to 128MB available to
allocate to my onboard graphics chip.
However, I could not run Aero till I added more system memory.
