Vista Tutorial - Windows Vista installation problem

I've tried to install windows Vista home Premium like 4 or 5 times.. But
everytime when it gets finished Gathering files I get an error message!

"Windows could not prepare the computer to boot into the next ohase of
installation. To install windows restart the installation"

That is as far as i can get.. What should i do! I've search online for
answers but not luck yet!

I have a Sony Vaio VGC-RA820G
p4 3.2 Ghz
200 GB hard drive with 51 GB free
1GB Ram

I had somewhat of the same problem and I call Microsoft and they told me to
uninstall my anti-virus software and any dvd burning software I had on my
computer and after I did that and restarted my CPU and retried to install
Vista and it worked perfectly.

Is this an upgrade version you are using?

Run the Upgrade Advisor to check for possible software/hardware
compatibility issues?

Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor:

Disable any anti virus software and any third party firewalls on the system?
