| | Re: One pc, one copy of vista!! If the new MOBO is on a homebuilt system and Vista was installed from a retail purchased copy of VISTA you will have to go through phone activation and they will assist you. If you purchased a preconfigured system from a vendor and the Vista Key is contained on a sticker on the cabinet a the vendor supplied you a new MOBO under warranty you may also have to go through activation. | | Re: One pc, one copy of vista!! You will have been asked to activate again because you changed the motherboard. Click the activation message and instead of opting to activate over the internet select the option to activate over the telephone. A telephone number for your region will then be displayed - this is a toll free (free phone) number. This is an automated service so you will probably be refused activation again, however, stay on the telephone and you will be transferred to a 'real' person. Explain that you had to change the motherboard and the technician will help you activate. -- -- John Barnett MVP Associate Expert Windows - Shell/User Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org The information in this mail/post is supplied "as is".
