Upgrade -> Reinstall

Hi,
I'm running Windows XP Pro right now and I'm cosidering to get a Windows
Vista Ultimate Upgrade. Sometimes I'll need to reinstall my OS and I want to
know if I'll be able to do so with the Upgrade DVD or I need to buy the full
version (or first reinstall XP).

Re: Upgrade -> Reinstall

The upgrade will work, many links have been posted here for the procedure.

Re: Upgrade -> Reinstall

Dave B. is right! You format the drive, use the upgrade DVD, BUT, when it
ask for the key, DO NOT ENTER IT! It will ask do you want to proceed without
entering the key, you say yes. Make 'activate once I've connected is
UNCHECKED!

Once 'that' install is complete, do it again, BUT, this time, when it asks
for the key, enter it, and you can leave the 'activate once online' option
checked...

....that's the simple, cut down version of it...
