| | Upgrade with full version? Can you use a full version of Vista to perform an upgrade? What I mean is: will the Product Key work, and will installed programs remain intact? Why do I ask? Having to install XP to do a future install would be a PITA, so I'd rather buy the full version. However, ATM I'd prefer to do an upgrade to keep my existing installed programs. -- Nigel M |

| | Re: Upgrade with full version? Yes, you can. My advice for ANY upgrades is to make SURE you have a full backup of your XP BEFORE you do your upgrade. There are just too many failures to take the risks unless nothing in your XP has any value. Your choice. | | Re: Upgrade with full version? The full version allows you to perform either a clean install or an upgrade. However, i concur with John Barnes regarding the Backup of your data.
