Do I have a 64bit or 32bit processor

Hello all,
I have an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ processor.
However, when I type WINMSD in Run I get the following
System Type: X86-based PC
Processor x86 Family 15 Model 47 Stepping 0 AuthenticAMD ~2200Mhz

So do I have a 64bit or a 32 bit processor? I got the 32bit edition of home
premium today, and just ordered the 64bit from Microsoft.

RE: Do I have a 64bit or 32bit processor

I also want to add that I have 1gig of PC3200 and a Geforce 6600 256mb
graphics card.

Will I suffer performance loss with the 64bit as opposed to the 32bit?

Re: Do I have a 64bit or 32bit processor

You have a 64-bit CPU and I would stick with 32-bit Vista, 64-bit Vista is
slower and harder to find software and drivers to work on it.

Re: Do I have a 64bit or 32bit processor

Why would you order the 64bit version if you are just asking if you have a
64bit processor? What if you only had a 32bit Processor?
