How do I know which version to install??

Depends on your actual hardware, unless you have one of the newer processors
I would recommend going with the 32bit. There are more drivers with the
32bit version too, or should I say less driver issues.

32bit is a safe bet!

You have to find out what your processor supports first. It also depends on
your needs, Windows Vista x64 does not support 32 bit hardware device
drivers, it needs to full 64-bit, also 16 bit applications do not work with
Vista x64. As Chrismoo says, to be safe, use the 32-bit version.
