| | Vista Home Basic Upgrade Setup Freezes after entering Product Key I have a problem. I am trying to do the upgrade to Windows Vista from Windows XP Service Pack 2. I get to the part where I have to enter my Product Key. Ok. Thats Cool. After I click it. Nothing is happening. When I hit Control , Alt and Delete to bring up the task manager I see 2 setup.exe processes running, one of which is running at 99% CPU usage. What can I do to resolve this issue? I am using a Dell Dimension E521 Desktop System featuring an AMD Sempron 3400+ Processor. |

I don't think that Setup needs an Internet connection to validate the product key. > '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' > > "IceHockeyJason" wrote: > >> I have a problem.
