| | Downgrade from vista ultimate trial to vista premium I attended the launch of Vista in Tampa in January and was given a 6 month trial disk for Vista Ultimate. I had XP pro on my computer prior to downloading it. What do you think will happen when the trial is over. 1.Will my computer go back to XP Pro or will I need to do something? I think I would prefer the premium home edition (price) instead of ultimate. 2.Do you think I could buy and install that now? I thank you in advance for any help. Laura |

| | Re: Downgrade from vista ultimate trial to vista premium When the trial version of Windows Vista expires, you'll no longer be able to log in to Vista. Since there is no downgrade path from Windows Vista Ultimate to Windows Vista Home Premium, you'll need to purchase a "Full Version" of Windows Vista and perform a clean install. -- Carey Frisch Microsoft MVP Windows - Shell/User -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Laura" wrote: I attended the launch of Vista in Tampa in January and was given a 6 month trial disk for Vista Ultimate.
