video card problems - amongst others

hi - i've a clean install of vista, and it appears that on every other
reboot, vista cannot get my nvidia 6800 video card to go. it has the latest
drivers from nvidia and the machine is fully up to date with patches. a
reboot usually makes the problem go away.

another problem is an occasional bsod - unknown hard error being the culprit.

i've tried different video cards and reinstalling everything but vista, at
least to me, seems rather unstable. wishing i'd purchased xp now.

wondering if anyone else has experienced similar problems and when sp1 might
appear...

Re: video card problems - amongst others

Apart from video issues which most of us have anyway, go to the manufacturer
websites of your hardware and look to see if there are fixes or proposed
fixes.. it could be that you have a small problem for which there is already
a fix..
