| | Unknown Device I have an unknown device but I don't know what it is. When I look at the Properties, Details tab, Hardware Ids it has a Value of ACPI\PNPB006 *PNPB006. Any ideas what driver I need? -- Bob |

Go to Device Manager, probably under System Devices, seen if there are any yellow or red flags. Windows should install a driver as part of the system, but some MB's may want their own. Do you see a Microsoft driver? |

| | Re: Unknown Device I was playing with my BIOS. Seems that the unknown device drivers were the midi port and the game/joystick. I disabled these in my BIOS and problem resolved. There were no red or yellow flags as you suggested prior to my disabling these devices. I guess now I have to find drivers for these two devices. I haven't seen anything on the ASUS site (I have an A8N-SLI Premium motherboard). It looks like others there have a similar issue. It doesn't appear that Microsoft has a driver for these devices on my motherboard. -- Bob "Adam Albright" wrote: > On Sun, 4 Mar 2007 11:24:21 -0800, bobneedshelp > <bobneedshelp@newsgroups.nospam> wrote: > > >I have an unknown device but I don't know what it is.
