Product Number

As I have a few problems with Vista I am trying to contact Microsoft direct
for free help. The screen keeps saying my product number is not valis, when
I know it definitely is.

Help please.

Re: Product Number

Tommo;
You mean the Product ID?
Right click My Computer and click Properties.
The Product ID is near the bottom of the page.

Is your Vista retail or OEM?
If OEM, contact the seller for support.
Microsoft does not support most issues with OEM.
One of the several reasons OEM is cheaper than retail.

Re: Product Number

Yes it is OEM, and OEM is part of the product ID. So that explains it all.
The number I put in was correct but I didn't know about the OEM issue. So
thankyou very much for your help.
