| | Re: Deleted partition with disk management, can't get it back! Download BootItNG. They've got some video tutorials: http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/examples.html You're allowed to try it free for a month - it's shareware. BootItNG should be able to turn the 20G into unallocated space. | | Re: Deleted partition with disk management, can't get it back! The BootItNG thing worked perfectly! Got my 30GB back and everything's working well! Having spent all this weekend trying to sort this thing out, it feels like a weight has been lifted off my tiny little shoulders! Thanks a lot! -- patsypoo Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |

| Vista Ultimate x84 (32 bit) | Re: Deleted partition with disk management, can't get it back! Hiya, I hear you seem to have the same problem as me, yet I think I may know what is wrong and how to fix it. I am currently running Windows Vista Ultimate after upgrading from XP Home and have partitioned my hard drive to multi-boot them. Now I have decided to run MAX OS X Leopard as well... I know... its near impossible due to the BIOS but I think I know what to do. Anyway, one very strange thing on my machine that I have only ever seen before on Norton PartitionMagic is a green box around my last two partitions, that appears to be the sign for an extended partition. This will only allow the contents inside the box to be used for storage and not for booting (which seems a bit strange to say it used to be used for XP... but it is still possible. If yours has a green box surrounding that partition, then you can now look for this instead of asking the question from scratch... at least you may know a bit more about the problem. |
