Vista - Install freezes @ "Get Updates" screen

I just downloaded the public beta (build 5384 I believe) and when I try to
install my system freezes. I get to the "Get important updates for
installation" screen and I have the never ending hourglass. I have verified
my download using the Nero MD5 tool. If anyone has any suggestions I would
greatly apprecate it.

I may have just found a workaround. I went to the task manager and ended the
setup.exe process and the install continued.

(I know, right?)

the install process it is very long time to complete 1-2 hours
best tip clean install you whill loss anny data on the hard drive back up
befor
install vista beta 2

Have you tried alternative methods of installing such as using Virtual Drive
software such as Daemon Tools or NERO Image drive? Have you tried extracting
the contents of the ISO to a folder in an existing install of Windows, and
launch setup from there?

I was able to successfully install. When I was on the updates screen
watching the hourglass, I went to task manager and ended the setup.exe
process and then setup continued.
