| | Vista Home Premium upgrade -- install on new hard drive? Hey guys, I obtained a copy of Windows Home Premium, FREE of charge, because I took advantage of that sale they had awhile back, where if you buy a notebook between Oct 26th -- May 11th, er something like that, then u get a FREE upgrade to Vista Home Premium, so I did that, and got my copy in the mail earlier today. I have a Compaq Presario V5305WM what I am wondering is, instead of upgrading my current OS, WIndows XP Media Center, I just want to WIPE everything otu CLEAN, and install WIndows Vista on a clean hard drive... is this possible? because they want you to run the HP DVD first to backup your existing stuff, and I don't want to do that, I just want to perform a completely CLEAN install is this at all possible? and if so, HOW? thanks |
