| | how to install xp as 2nd operation system I have upgraded my window to vista, but found out that half my programmes are not compatable to it. (Adobe video collection (include premiere 1.5, encore, aftereffect), dymo lable writer... etc) I almost need to upgrade everything as well, (including video card, motherbroard, ram). Anyway, I now find out that you can run 2 operating system in one computer, and I tried to installed window xp in my 2nd hard drive. But I can not switch between the 2 windows, as my system can only recognise 1 system. What did I do wrong and how can I fixed this? Many thanks |

The easiest way to do that is to install VistaBootPRO: http://www.vistabootpro.org/ Click on the Bootloader icon and 'reinstall Vista bootloader'. |

If so per the Vista upgrade license you cannot have both the upgrade version of Vista and the qualifying OS (in this case XP) installed at the same time. It's one or the other. To do a dual boot you need another licensed copy of XP or you need to start with a full edition of Vista. -- Rock [MS-MVP User/Shell] |

| | Re: how to install xp as 2nd operation system Since virtually no one buys a full edition to upgrade, the XP license is no longer valid. If, in fact the OP purchased a full version, I apologise.
