Blue Screen Error Message When Installing Window Vista Ultimate

During the upgrade from WinXP MCE 2005 to Windows Vista Ultimate(upgrade
version), at 22% during the expanding of files, the computer restarts and I
get a blue screen with the following error message:

worker_thread_returned_at_bad_irql

stop: 0x000000e1 (0x810070a1, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x8112d260)

Can anyone tell me what this is error is referring to? I have a Dell XPS 410
w/2 GB RAM, 250 GB HDD, Nvidea 7600 GT video card, and a 19 inch Dell
widescreen TV monitor.

This is pure guesswork on my part, based on the number of people having
problems with nVidea drivers. (I'm not one of them.)

You might have better luck trying a clean install on a separate
partition. Just don't enter your upgrade key during the install.
Wait until you have a working Vista before using your key to activate.
