No DVD Drive Install

The Download for vista beta II is a DVD .iso. The iso when burned to a DVD
would be bootable, so could I put the iso on a slave hard drive, boot from
it, and load vista to my primary master drive? If so would special software
be required to put the iso on the drive or could I just copy it and boot from
the iso?

The files contained in the .iso file must be "extracted" before they can be
used. If you cannot burn them to a DVD, then you can extract them to another
hard drive using an ISO utility.

Here are a couple:

ISO Buster 1.5

Re: No DVD Drive Install

Hello;
The "downloaded Vista ISO" is an IMAGE FILE.
To use it, it has to be extracted to a DVD using a Program (Seems Nero works
Best for that).
After it is extracted it is burnt to DVD (Using Image Burning Software)
then it will be a usable install DVD.

Re: No DVD Drive Install

DO NOT FOLLOW THE ADVICE OF LS(V)! IT IS WRONG
ADVICE!!

Do not unzip the file in any way! Do not extract
files from the .ISO with any program! Burn the
..ISO image to a disk. Since it is a ISO, there
should be an option in your Burning utility for
burning images to a CD.

Check the following link for instructions about
how to burn an ISO:
