| | help with plug and play hard drives hello im having problems getting vista home premium to reconise my 2 external storage devices 1) my archos 504 160gb 2) my newly bought freecom 400gb hard drive. every time i plug either of these devices into any of my usb 2 ports vista ask to install drivers for the devices even though they are plug and play, and also no drivers exist for these devices. i cannot find any soulutions to these problems! |

From a post by Don: C:\windows\inf\INFCACHE.1 is most likely corrupt and should be deleted. You will need to edit its file permissions to give Full Control to the User Group before you will be allowed to delete it. -- Rock [MS-MVP User/Shell] |
