Vista - Vista Ultimate OEM reinstall question

Last week I built a system and installed and activated the Vista 64bit OEM
OS. Within the hour after that my system began to occasionally spontaneously
reboot, lock-up and otherwise cease to function. In essence I never got to
use my new system. I have built similar systems with XP and never had a
problem. I noticed that the Raid0 would fail and 1 of the HDD's in the raid
would turned off. The MoBo is an Asus P5WD2 Premium and the HDD's are WD
2500KS. I have looked on several forums and have noted similar problems with
Vista and this MoBo and/or HDD combo. I would like to use a different "Vista
certified" MoBo and Seagate HDD's then use the same OEM software. I realize
that this will cause me to reactivate by phone. I hope that Microsoft will
let me do this otherwise I just wasted the purchase of an OS. Any advice on
how to handle this?

Just tell them that you needed to replace your motherboard.
