| | First crcdisk, now disk.sys causes 0x07B error, cannot boot Hello everyone, I had Windows Vista Ultimate installed, it worked fine for me for 1 month, I used it and it was good O/S but I have a crappy SiS661FX IGP so I got a Nvidia GeForce 256 from a friend, I installed it in the motherboard but it didnt work well(it was installing drivers and the screen froze and the fan stopped spinning) so I shut down the pc with the power cord and pulled the GPU out and my system got stuck at crcdisk.sys, so i decided to install from dvd (reinstall) but the mouse and keyboard driver didnt load so i installed XP and i used isobuster to get all files and corrupted files from DVD to HD and i installed it from HD(i also did it when it was the first time I installed Vista) but now it keeps stuck at disk.sys and now i have XP again...Help me please.... I have my system specs included if you need it to solve the problem. |

| | Re: First crcdisk, now disk.sys causes 0x07B error, cannot boot It sounds like when installing then removing the video card something went wrong with the hardware. Make sure the RAM and any cards are secure in the sockets. Make sure all cables (e.g. hard drive cables) are secure in the sockets. It is very common to knock something loose when working inside a computer. -- Kerry Brown Microsoft MVP - Shell/User http://www.vistahelp.ca "Silentblade®" <Silentblade.2pzyll@no-mx.forums.net> wrote in message news:Silentblade.2pzyll@no-mx.forums.net... > > Hello everyone, > I had Windows Vista Ultimate installed, it worked fine for me for 1 > month, I used it and it was good O/S but I have a crappy SiS661FX IGP so > I got a Nvidia GeForce 256 from a friend, I installed it in the > motherboard but it didnt work well(it was installing drivers and the > screen froze and the fan stopped spinning) so I shut down the pc with > the power cord and pulled the GPU out and my system got stuck at > crcdisk.sys, so i decided to install from dvd (reinstall) but the mouse > and keyboard driver didnt load so i installed XP and i used isobuster to > get all files and corrupted files from DVD to HD and i installed it from > HD(i also did it when it was the first time I installed Vista) but now > it keeps stuck at disk.sys and now i have XP again...Help me please.... > I have my system specs included if you need it to solve the problem. > > > +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ > |Filename: System Spec..txt | > |Download: http://vista64.net/forums/attachment...ttachmentid=21 | > +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ > > -- > Silentblade® |
