Vista - 32/64 Installation Quandary

I have an AMD 64 X2 3800+ with 32 bit Win XP Media Center Editiion installed.
I downloaded Vista 64 and burned the ISO, but when I attempted to install
from the ISO DVD I got an error message that it was not a System 32, so
nothing happens. What's a guy to do?

Vista Beta x64 is a 64-bit operating system, consequently using a 64-bit
installer. Windows XP (okay, with the exception of XP 64 Pro) is a 32-bit
operating system and simply cannot handle a 64-bit application. You must
install x64 by booting from the dvd you made. This of course will overwrite
you existing operating system. Please, for your own sanity, read Andre's
instructions and tips before you go any further:

Your system is running a 32bit. Therefore you should not have installed the
Windows Vista x64. You should install Windows Vista x86, also known as
Windows Vista 32-bit.

I disagree. Why not test the x64 if he wants to?

Indeed. SoloSEO has a 64-bit CPU so he can install the x64 Edition of Vista
if he likes to.

Agreed, I have tried both, my only observation is that there appears to be
less driver support for 64bit...
