| | Vista Recovery Disc Hangs I am getting an error when booting my computer. It says "BOOTMGR is missing pres CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart." I read online that to fix this problem I need to boot off the CD/DVD and select Startup Repair. I am unable to do this b/c whenever I boot off the CD it goes to the screen where it says "Select a Language", but then it just hangs. I cannot use neither the mouse or the keyboard to select next. I only have a Windows Vista Home Premium Express Upgrade disc, so I do not think I can completly re-format (which I'd actually rather do). Some quick background of the computer to help evalute the problem: When I got the Windows Vista Express Upgrade CD, I was running Windows Media Center on my 35GB WD Raptor Drive. Due to space problems I installed the new OS (Vista) onto my other 250GB Seagate drive. After I had Vista up and running I completly reformated my 35GB WD Raptor Drive b/c all it had on it was the old OS (XP) features and files. Thats when my Vista problems started. I got the error above and have been trying to resolve it. Can anyone help me with this issue? |
