Installing Vista on new Hard Drive

    Hi

I have a Vista Ultimate Upgrade DVD.

The inevitable has happened, my hard drive has died and I have bought a new
one, which I will install later today,
how do I go about installing Vista Ultimate on my new hard drive, since it
is not upgrading but installing to a clean Hard Drive?

I have my files backed up to DVD's but not the OS.

    regards

    Daniel

You install it the first time without entering any product key. You
then have 30 days to 'upgrade' the first installation of Vista with
the second installation, and that's when you enter your product key.

You most likely will need to do a telephone activation and explain why
you are reactivating with the same key.
