Help Installing Vista

Hi, I'v been trying to install vista withg no luck, tried both 32bit and
64bit every time I get the "setup could not get information about the disks
on your computer" mesage after I click on "install now". I'v tried installing
from in win XP and booting the DVD samething both times
I have a Gigabyte GA-K8NS - nVIDIA nForce3 250
I got 2 hard drives one SATA 120gig with XP home on it, and one PATA 80gig
this is the one I'm wanting to put vista on

Re: Help Installing Vista

It's also possible there's some bug in the BIOS. Drives of different sizes
get handled differently and of course that is prone to a ton of bugs. Same
goes for SATA, it may get handled totally differently from PATA just by
flipping some BIOS setting. If you look at the groups there's quite many
people with nForce and SATA issues.
