    corrupt fvevol.sys

After running ultimate for 3 month I can't boot. Vista repair tells me that
the file fvevol.sys is corrupt. Vista repair tried to repair it several times
    with no success.
I tried a restore point manually - still the same problem.
I can access all files and directories when I use the "DOS" window, however
    Vista will not start.
Any ideas how I can manually repair the file without a complete new
    installation?

Did you try Safe Mode? Consider selecting boot log at the F8 menu options -
check bootlog.txt in root directory and note last item prior to fvevol.sys.

    Also Google for info.
