Unable to install Vista Beta 2 on Acer Aspire 1510 laptop

Installing Vista is impossible on an Acer Aspire 1510 laptop.

I have 512MB internal memory and a C: partition of 20GB.

Label of the DVD (so from inside the delivered ISO file): LB2CFRE_EN_DVD

I tried:

- Installing from a booted Vista-DVD on C: with Windows XP installed on it.
After loading a lot of files in memory (moving bar in the bottom of the
screen) and when the bar is complete the system crashes

- Installing from a booted Vista-DVD on C: with a clean NTFS formatted disc.
After loading a lot of files in memory (moving bar in the bottom of the
screen) and when the bar is complete the system crashes

- Installing from a Vista-DVD from a running Windows XP environment
After copying a lot of files to the C: disc and after extracting files the
same crash occurs

- Installing from another partition (D from a running Windows XP
environment.
After copying a lot of files to the C: disc and after extracting files the
same crash occurs
I tried this to ensure that the DVD-ROM is not causing the problem.

Crash data:
------------------

Stop 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x80978C64, 0x808048D0, 0x808045CC)

pci.sys Address 80978C64 base at 8095F000 Date 446D1899

Suggestions (and fixes) are highly appreciated

RE: Unable to install Vista Beta 2 on Acer Aspire 1510 laptop

Hi,

I'm haveing a similari problem with my desktop. When booting from the DVD,
the setup advances until the screen "Windows is copying files..." and when
the bar reaches 100% i experience a system reboot. What do I need to do to
get the crash data visible?
