Can we use WIM IMages and PE2.0 for XP images?

HI,

We are using WDS with WIM images for Vista deployments, but we still need
some XPs until we upgrade our hardware.

Can we create a WIM image from an XP installation? If so, can we use PE2.0
to apply it?

Is there any WP paper that describes the steps required to do so?

Many thanks!

Claude,

The quick answer is yes. There is no paper that I know of describing the use
with XP, because it was designed for Vista, but it works without difficulty.

I agree with John. If you prepare a XP image, then use sysprep from Windows
XP and not from Vista.
