Vista - Install on HP with Intel RAID ????

Vista tells me that while trying to install the preview version of Windows
Vista on the second SATA2 harddrive in my7467c PC, it prompts mefor a SATA
RAID driver for "Intel 8201 GR/GH SATA RAID controller" to continue
installation.

I have an HP 7467 C that has an Intel RAID driver that is not uninstallable.
I am not using my two SATA drives as RAID. I was hoping for a dual boot by
istalling in the second drive. The first is the OEM Maxtor SATA 150 300 GB
and the second is a SATA 300 500GB. The vendor gives a process for
uninstalling the UI software only and leaves the core drivers installed. The
part that stays is in the drive detection stage of booting.

So, I bravely chose to ignore the warning message and continued anyway. What
I got was, on reboot, it went to a quickly disappearing multiboot screen in
which VISTA SETUP was the default. If leave it alone it gets to a point of
white text on blue screen telling me of a problem and locks up. If I quickly
choose to go to the old version of Windows, all is OK until the next time I
reboot and it happens all over again. To get out of the blue screen, I
cannot ctrl alt del. Since it seems that new computers have no reset
buttons, I had to turn off power and restart.

I have two questions about this:

Is this a known issue and will it be fixed so I can install beta 2?

What would happen if I follow the manufacturers instructions to completely
remove the RAID driver?
