| | A8R32-MVP Deluxe and SLI I just installed VIsta Beta 2 on my new system (dual boot with XP Pro). Installation went fine. Problem is when trying to enter the UI it reboots both in regular and safe mode. My assumption is the problem relates to SLI but I see nowhere in BIOS to disable it and other that removing the 2nd card (not going to happen, system runs perfectly in XP) is there a setting in BIOS that is obscure or that I simply missed? System - Antec mid tower with Antec 550W True Power PS A8R32-MVP Deluxe AMD Athlon FX-60 2 GB Corsair XMS ATI 1900XT Crossfire ATI 1900XT Soundblaster Audigy 2 SE onboard sound, PP, SP, and NIC #2 disabled in BIOS Thans for any help Gary |

| | Re: A8R32-MVP Deluxe and SLI I have an A8N, I will check mine when I get home to see if I can find an option in there to disable it. You might could try to disconnect the link cable/board between the 2 cards. That way you just have a simpler 2 video cards configuration instead of SLI configuration. That would be less invasive than completely removing the card. Of course doing that will not allow you to compair apples to apples with Vista and XP on your machine. How did you get the dual boot option? Install from windows GUI? Install from the DVD only gives the option for a clean install. I would like to test vista on my home rig also but I dont want to screw up XP. | | Re: A8R32-MVP Deluxe and SLI Javan - Just do a clean install on a partition other than the one XP is on and Vista will install the multi-boot menu, listin XP as "Earlier version of Windows".. Thanks Gary "Javan" wrote: > I have an A8N, I will check mine when I get home to see if I can find an > option in there to disable it. | | Re: A8R32-MVP Deluxe and SLI Chris - I can't get IN to Vista to install any drivers! I get to the Vista splash screen (just before the GUI would normally appear) and it reboots. It does the same thing in Safe Mode and also with only one of the two Crossfire cards installed..
