| | Setting Virtual Memory I have been trying to set the size of my virtual memory to a custom size and am having mixed results. Sometimes, after setting to the custom size and rebooting the changes look they they worked. Other times, it is as though I made no changes at all and the setting is back to no page file. Has anyone else encountered this? Anybody have a fix? I have Windows Vista Business with all updates applied. Thanks. Tim |

| | Re: Setting Virtual Memory Hi Tim, I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish with setting the VM manually, however it is not unusual for it to revert back to system defaults when the settings cannot be implemented on startup. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "TimS" <timstspry@msn.com(donotspam)> wrote in message news:825ED3E9-17F8-455C-B69C-8C42DE1EEDEE@microsoft.com... >I have been trying to set the size of my virtual memory to a custom size >and > am having mixed results. | | Re: Setting Virtual Memory What antivirus do you have? I have read that some people had this problem on reboot if Norton was present. -- Paul "TimS" wrote: > Thanks to you both for your response. > > Tim > > "Mr. Arnold" wrote: > > > > > "TimS" <timstspry@msn.com(donotspam)> wrote in message > > news:825ED3E9-17F8-455C-B69C-8C42DE1EEDEE@microsoft.com... > > >I have been trying to set the size of my virtual memory to a custom size > > >and > > > am having mixed results.
