re-installing hardware drivers

Vista is now installed and functional however all my drivers for my
motherboard and video card etc are not installed is it safe (more or less) to
go ahead and install these drivers from the manufacture disk + updates from
manufacture?

Basically I am asking will most hardware drivers work under vista.

RE: re-installing hardware drivers

Sean,

From what I've seen, most drivers that are available for Windows XP or
Windows Server 2003 will work in Vista.

RE: re-installing hardware drivers

Beg to differ on this one! Many of the drivers that came with my computer did
not even install on Vista, had to go to various sites to download drivers for
Intel chipsets and graphics. Sound did not work at all until I found a new
driver.
