Vista - Vista Home Prem 32 wont install

I can not get Vista installed. Tried booting off CD, I get the Vista
background but no windows to select "install Now".
I've also tried loading XP first, ran advisor, everthing came back Ready to
Install. The installation freezes at Completing install, had to reboot after
an hour. Please help!

My system is this -

ASUS MSN32 SLI Deluxe
2 Gig DDR2
AMD 64 X2 5600+
1 320 SATA drive
1 DVD/CD
1 GTS 8800

we have the same setup, i had that problem, but all i did was to install it
again for some reason it just work cant explain it tho, not sure how helpful
that was lol

Upgrade CD or full version ?
Did you install the SATA drivers during the Vista install ?

I found the problem, I am using an LG DVD/CD drive to install from. I let it
sit overnight after another install attempt, in the morning it was at
"installing updates" stage. Instead of rebooting, I ejected the CD and the
install took off and completed. After Vista loaded I put a drivers CD in and
it could not read the drive, tried multiple CD, same results. LG is not on
the Hardware Compatilibty List. I'm on my way to CompUSA to by a certified
DVD/CD drive.
