Screen Saver

I wen to personalize my CPU and selected a screen saver (mistify for
example). I set my time to 10 minutes and for whatever reason, my CPU does
not go into screen saver mode. I have set the time to 1 minute without any
success. Does anyone know what would be keeping my SW from going inot screen
saver mode?

Re: Screen Saver

Hello,

have you a USB mouse/keyboard or something? They could be blocking Windows
from going into Screensaver mode:

Re: Screen Saver

Do you have a wireless mouse? If you do:

Make sure your mouse's wireless receiver is plugged in and active (this is
important). Go to Control Panel (Classic View) > Windows Update. Click on
Check for Updates. Choose to install the Optional Hardware Update called
"Microsoft HID Non-User Input Data Filter". Your screensaver, with a
wireless mouse, should now work.

Re: Screen Saver

Hi P.

That article is way outdated. Most of these problems were resolved before
Vista was released.

Re: Screen Saver

i am having the same problems with screensaver except it is more
tempermental. the screensaver sometimes works, it sometimes doesn't and
there is no discernable pattern as far as i can tell (it is set to go on
after 5 mins). also, my display does not turn off even though it is set to
turn off after 20 mins. i am using a dell desktop with wired mouse. any
help would be appreciated.
