Is this on a laptop?
If so, it's probably your recovery partition. Check the documentation that
came with your computer.

Re: Hidden? disk partition

If it is a "Recovery Partition" it is not accessible via "normal" (Explorer)
means. Usually when the partition is created, the MBR is modified to display
something like "Hit the F11 key to restore...". If you are successful in
deleting the partition the MBR modification remains - most OEMs (HP) provide
an utility to copy the partition contents to removeable media and remove the
partition - also removing the MBR modification.

As suggested "RTFM" (Read the (not necessarly) friendly manual).

Re: Hidden? disk partition

yes it's a recovery partition, and the few pages of dokumentetion said
nothing about it. And the PDF file that's supposed to be the FM says even
less.
I was prompted to greate a recovery disk when I first started the PC (it's a
Packard Bell) but that's only one DVD so it can not contain all thre data.

I would like to have it all on CD's and use the eight Gig's for something
useful.
