When you installed you didn't specify a product key. In fact, you weren't asked for one. Enterprise versions install with a special KMS key that tell the activation service to look for a DNS record for your KMS server. Obviously that won't extend outside of your organization. You can A) bring it to work where on that network, if the admins installed the KMS server correctly, your PC will be able to find the KMS record or B) See if your IT department also has MAK keys. You can then, at a DOS box (with administrative rights) enter the command ... cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -ipk <productkey> (replacing <productkey> with the MAK key your IT folks gave you, followed by... cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -ato to perform the activation process. So, no "bugs" as you put it (at least in this situation), it's you who are not using the product as designed. |
