| | Vista Home Premium activation I bought a new Windows Vista Home Premium software. When I try to activate I get the following message: Code: 0xC004F061 Description: The Software Licensing Service determined that this specified product key can only be used for upgrading, not for clean installations. What does that mean? I bought a Vista but I can't activate? What should I do? |

| | Re: Vista Home Premium activation It means what it says - the software you bought is an upgrade-only version and must be used to upgrade an existing copy of Windows. It cannot be installed by itself. If you already have Windows installed on your PC, put in the CD and start Setup with Windows already running. -- Richard G. Search around google as you can do a clean with an upgrade disk. Vista recognizes itself as a valid previous OS. -- Gil W0MN Yanoff +, the PDA reader Creed en las obras y no en las palabras -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |
