| | Network Configuration Restore I have a Vista Business OS and I have made many changes to the network and security settings. I have lost track of what was done. Is there any way I can restore those settings back to default without having to reinstall the entire OS? My restore points do not go back as far as I need them to and I need to restore the settings. Ideally I would like ALL System defaults restored but do not want to reformat the system. Any suggestions? |

| | Re: Network Configuration Restore Hi Trevor, As far as System Restore goes, for best results it should be used as soon as possible after a problem is detected. Restoring a system back more that a week or so can often cause more problems that it solves. So whenever changes are made create a restore point prier to the changes. And after the changes are made test the network for functionality. If a problem arises that you cannot fix, use the restore point created just before the changes. And try again. For a longer term solution, imaging software is a very good choice. Here are two examples.
