    Vista and Office XP

My husband got me a new laptop with Vista installed....I have Office XP and
would like to install on the machine...am I asking for trouble? Should I get
a new office product or can I upgrade?

This would be better posted in one of the Office newsgroups.

Office XP will work with Vista but Outlook will have a problem, it will
not save your email account information and you'll have to re-enter it
every time you close and re-start Outlook. The only workaround I know
of is to leave Outlook open as long as your machine is turned on.

NOTE: Since Office XP is no longer supported this problem will NOT be
    fixed by MS.

Office XP is no longer supported by MSFT and you will no longer receive any
updates for it. Neither Security updates or Hotfix updates.
